Preparation for New Momma

Things that need to be prepare at least 2 weeks before due date:
  1. Maternity bra- your breast need full support during this period. You will start to produce milk and your breast might become very sensitive (swallow, hurt etc...) Many mommas have complaint the discomfort feeling. If you do not care enough for your breast, then you will suffer BREAST SAGGING problem. I bet no woman in this world want her breast to sag!!! So, find a high quality bra and make sure it can give full support and very comfortaable for your boobs!
  2. Stretch mark cream- some expert believe that there are no way to fight the stretch mark. Don't be so sad upon hearing this fact, mommas! It's always a solution for every problem in this world. You have to continue working to get rid of you stretch mark. Even if you can't fully get it off, your mark will become less visible for sure! Start fighting it right after you deliver your baby. Retinal is believed can make you new mark less visible. So, start surveying for a good product now!
  3. Corset- wearing corset around your tummy after delivery until the next 2 months is practiced by south east Asian momma. It is believe to recover back your waist line, avoid bulging tummy and make you feel very comfortable. Your uterus might feel like moving here and there inside after delivery. By wearing corset, it will help relief this discomfort.
  4. Olive oil- some mommas' skin structure changed during pregnancy and after delivery. Apply some olive oil everyday, even before you deliver to maintain skin suppleness and moisture. It also proven to help avoid stretch mark if you massage your tummy using olive oil during pregnancy.
  5. 2 pairs of knee lenght socks- post-natal mommas are prone to desease such as cold, flu and fever. Wearing socks can provide heat to body and avoid illness.
  6. Sanitary pad for maternity- find the one with string, so that you do not need to wear your underwear for the first week. It is advised that you do not wear your underwear, since it will make your skin easy to breath, avoid infection and you wound also will heal faster.
  7. Herbal and supplement food- eastern women taking herbal supplement right after giving birth. These herbs supplement is believed to heal internal and external wound, help uterus to get back into normal size faster, give heat to body, boost energy and make your vagina tight like before your giving birth. But if you can't stand the taste and the smell, you might alternate it with modern pharmaceutical supplement.
  8. Post-Natal medicine- normally, you will get some medicine such as pain killer and antibiotic from hospital or clinic after you discharge.
  9. Heat stone- press heat stone around your tummy and waist as it will act like massage. It can help improve blood circulation and the healing process of your uterus will become faster. Press your feet at the heat stone as reflexology massage. You can also press the heat stone at any ache pain part.
