Even in early pregnancy- as soon as the pregnancy is detected, the doctor will scan mother's womb and check for the placenta position. Most mothers also know that placenta at lower part of uterine could be fatal if no precautions are taken into action during whole stage of pregnancy. But, how many of us ever heard of cord presentation and cord prolaps? Many also do not aware that cord prolaps is a rare obstetric emergency. It happen between 0.14 to 0.62 percent of pregnancy. It was happening to me. I was on my labour process, the v.e was 4cm already, contraction became intense, but the baby's head wasn't engage.
