A Very Sad Incident, 2 Years Old Girl Died After Scalded with Hot Water

">The daily also reported that a two-year-old girl in Kangar, Perlis, died three days after she was scalded by hot water.
Noraini Syazwani Abdullah, who had been warded at the Hospital Sultanah Baiyah in Alor Setar, Kedah, since Monday, succumbed to her injuries.
Perlis CID chief Supt Nashir Ya said during the incident, Noraini’s mother had been filling a jug after boiling water.
“Noraini, who was playing, suddenly lunged at her 19-year-old mother causing the water to spill on her,” said Nashir, adding police had ruled out foul play." (The Star Online)

This is another sad story of child injury that happened at home. As a young mother, this thing always play in my mind. Since I have a daughter who is the same age as the girl, I can understand Noraini's mother's feeling. I always worried about my daughter's safety at home. Sometimes it got my nerves when seeing my daughter uncontrollable behavior that I scold her and sometimes punished her. I don't want her to go in the kitchen while I'm cooking. My mom always told me not to scold such a young toddler, but for me, it's better to let her cry with out any pain than let her be in dangerous and risky zone.
